HIV Education

Below you will find links to both the 7 hour "KNOW" curriculum from the Washington State Department of Health and a test administered by the WSATA.  Please read the following directions carefully and then open up both documents.

This continuing education class is offered by the WSATA and approved by the Board of Certification as a continuing education opportunity.  You will receive 7 CEU's upon completion of the class.  A certificate will then be awarded to you as proof of both your CEU's from the BOC and the Washington State DOH. When applying for licensure with the Wash. St. DOH you will not need to provide this document, you will only need to sign that you have completed the class.  Please keep this certificate in a safe place in case you are ever audited by either the BOC or Wash. St. DOH.

First open the test for the HIV/AIDS course.  Read the directions, then open the DOH KNOW curriculum.  You will have a lot of information to read through on the DOH document but the test provided by the WSATA falls directly in line with the DOH document.

Please send your check made out to WSATA to Jolene Fisher at 15222 E. 20th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99037.  Your check will ensure the mailing of your certificate.  Please allow at least 2 weeks from the time you send back the test to the time you get your certificate in hand.  But, remember that it is only necessary for the DOH to see that you have taken the class, not that you have received the certificate in order to apply for licensure.  The certificate is only needed in case you are audited and for proof of CEU credit.
